This policy explains how MAKEFRIENDLYDOTCOM (PTY) LTD (“MakeFriendly”, registration 2019/376494/07) handles personal information collected through makefriendly.co.za. We process personal information in line with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
What this site collects
This website has no contact forms, no accounts and no advertising trackers. It does not set cookies of its own. The only personal information we receive through the site is what you choose to send us when you email us.
When you contact us
If you email jared@makefriendly.co.za, we receive your email address, your name if you give it, and whatever you include in your message. We use that information solely to respond to you and to discuss potential or ongoing work. We do not sell it, and we do not add you to marketing lists without your agreement.
Hosting and server logs
Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically record standard technical request data — such as IP address, browser type, referring page and time of request — for security, abuse prevention and reliability. These logs are retained only for as long as they serve those purposes.
Client project data
Where we build or operate software for a client, any personal information inside those systems belongs to the client. We act as an operator on the client’s behalf, under the terms of our agreement with them, and handle that data only as instructed.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will action reasonable requests.
